Carole Sherwood, DClinPsy

Carole Sherwood, DClinPsy, is a U.K.-based clinical psychologist. She previously worked for the National Health Service (NHS), specializing in HIV, sexual health, sexual functioning, trauma, chronic pain, cancer, and palliative care. Currently, Dr. Sherwood runs an independent practice providing clinical supervision. She is a codirector of Critical Therapy Antidote, founder of the U.K. campaign Save Mental Health, and a contributor to Cynical Therapies: Perspectives on the Antitherapeutic Nature of Critical Social Justice, edited by Val Thomas. In 2022, Dr. Sherwood coauthored an independent report with Dr. Kirsty Miller titled The Politicisation of Clinical Psychology Training Courses in the UK.
